What an amazing weekend I've just had. Saturday was spent hanging out with a group of women bloggers from the area test driving new Chevy cars and touring beautiful Fallingwater. It was a gorgeous day. And the only thing better than spending a day with fabulous local bloggers is spending TWO days with fabulous local bloggers!
Sunday was my kind of day. Cooper Munroe of The Motherhood invited a group of local Pittsburgh mom bloggers to spend the day at the salon where she gets her hair done. The purpose of the day was to get a bunch of wonderful women together and show them a day of pampering from the talented staff of a state-of-the-art salon and to highlight that salon and what it has to offer.
That salon is Divinity Salon in Aspinwall, PA. Donnie Vasey and his wife, Pamela, own the salon. They and their incredible staff gave us mom bloggers the royal treatment. In fact, check out what awaited us when we arrived:

Yes, folks, that is a red carpet, rolled out just for us. The special treats were only beginning. I was the first taker when the group was offered mimosas. You don't have to ask this girl twice! Another very exciting surprise for us was the opportunity to hear from Michael Shaun Corby, Global Creative Director for Alterna salon products. He called in all the way from California to share his beauty expertise with us. Michael Shaun says the trends this year are red hair and natural, wavy texture. Finally! I have been waiting all my life for my curly red hair to be trendy. :)
There were some awesome women in attendance. I got to hang out with Kim and Cara two days in a row and loved it! Check out Cooper's post for more information about the bloggers in attendance and to see the beyond-belief before and after pictures (SO many of the women went red!). Speaking of before and after shots, wanna see mine? Let's see if you're as surprised as I was.

Can you believe how rich and beautiful that color is? And the cut is so much fun and easy. I love accentuating my natural texture. Kristen did such a great job on my hair. I'm loving my new look. It was time for a change. I'm now inspired to have fun with my look and take risks. Can't wait to get some highlights for the summer!
