Lee Stafford Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray Review

March 5, 2013 2:55 pm · Posted by marybabysteps

I have curly hair. Actually, I have crazy curly hair. Through the years, I've grown to actually like my hair, despite the fact that sometimes those crazy curls seem to have a life of their own. I love hair products and learning about hair. If I had any bit of talent whatsoever, I'd probably be a hair stylist. I think it woulc be awesome to be able to have a job that combines creativity, interactincting with women and making them feel confident. Alas, I have absolutely no skill when it comes to hair. So Isimply obsess over fun products and let my hairdresser do all the work of figuring out what to do with my curly locks.

While I might not be a whiz at styling hair, I still love to experiment with products. Especially since finding the perfect product for curly hair can be a struggle. In fact, for many women, it's a lifelong problem. Thankfully, today, new products are emerging that are adept at managing frizz, enhancing curl and taming excess volume. I was super excited when I was contacted to review a Lee Stafford product.

I asked which product would be good for a curly girl like me, and it was suggested that I try Lee Stafford Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray. Here's a description and some tips from the company:

If you love the look and feel of “just stepped out of the ocean, naturally sun, dried hair” then Lee’s Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray is just for you! This defining spray will bring out the tousled, textured look you can usually only get after swimming in the sea. With its ProMineral™ complex of Dead Sea salts and 26 minerals, your hair will still feel soft to touch but with added bounce, definition and body to die for. Added sunflower extract helps to give moisture and shine to your hair and will also help to protect and repair against free radicals. You can even use on dry hair to add texture for the perfect Beach Babe look!”

  • Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray also works amazingly well on WET or DRY hair.
  • Simply spray approximately 50 times (adjust to suit) over towel dried hair and gently blow dry OR for the ultimate beach goddess, look just leave to dry naturally… It’s as simple as that!

I followed the tips and found that I didn't need to use so many sprays. I do spray it all over, but my naturally curly hair responds well and just needs a light coating of product. I love that it's a spray, so I don't have to get my hands sticky when applying it. In fact, it's really not sticky at all and has a very light texture. Lee Stafford Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray also smells amazing! It's almost as if I'm at the beach, seriously. For this girl, it's probably about as close as I'll get for a while. The smell may be a bit much for those who are sensitive to fragrance, though.

Here are a couple pictures I took of myself with the product in my hair. You know, one of those days I actually managed to do my hair and look presentable. Though I do use it every day, even days I don't wash my hair, just to give it a little bit of oomph and to define the curls.

I hope you can get a sense from the pictures just how precise my curls look. This spray really helps to add definition. Without product, my hair is totally frizzy. This stuff is fantastic for my hair. I highly recommend it. If you'd like to try it for yourself, just head to an Ulta store near you or go to Ulta online.

Have you ever tried a sea salt spray? I've heard good things, and I certainly wasn't disappointed by Lee Stafford Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray

I love it! I also have thick wavy hair, and I always assumed I shouldn't use sea salt spray because I thought it would make my hair too thick. Then at BlogHer last year at the Getting Gorgeous party, CVS was there with the Not Your Mother's hair care line to do dry hairstyling. They sprayed my hair down with Sea Salt Spray and then scrunched Curl Cream into it, and it came out so soft and wavy!

Where are Lee Stafford products sold, and how much is the Sea Salt Spray? :)
